Download it and check four things
Log in at ibps.in with your registration number and password (or date of birth). The call letter stays available until the exam days, but don't leave it to the last evening.
- Your name, photo and signature match what you uploaded.
- The exam date, shift and reporting time. The gate closes on time.
- The full centre address. Visit it, or at least map the route, before exam day.
- The instructions page, which lists the ID proof and photocopy you must bring.
The prelims pattern
The prelims is 100 questions for 100 marks in 60 minutes, split into three sections with 20 minutes each. A wrong answer costs a quarter of the question's marks. The prelims is only qualifying. It screens candidates for the main exam on 27 December 2026.
- English Language: 30 questions, 20 minutes.
- Numerical Ability: 35 questions, 20 minutes.
- Reasoning Ability: 35 questions, 20 minutes.
A plan for the last eight days
- Days 1–5: One full mock a day at your shift time. Spend an hour reviewing it, and note whether marks were lost to speed, concepts or guessing.
- Every day: 15 minutes of simplification and approximation, the fastest marks in Numerical Ability, plus two puzzle sets in Reasoning.
- Days 6–7: Lighter sectional tests only. Revise your error log and the puzzle types that slowed you down.
- Day 8 (the day before): No mock. Print the call letter, keep your ID ready, and sleep early.
Choosing questions matters most
With 20 minutes per section, you cannot solve everything. In Reasoning, scan the puzzles first and start with the one that looks shortest. In Numerical Ability, clear simplification and number series before you touch data interpretation. In English, do the grammar and vocabulary questions before the reading passage if comprehension slows you down. A clean 70–75 attempts with high accuracy will usually beat a rushed 90.
Key takeaways
- The IBPS Clerk (CRP CSA-XVI) prelims call letter is out on ibps.in; the exam is on 10 and 11 October 2026.
- 100 questions in 60 minutes, three 20-minute sections, −0.25 per wrong answer; the prelims is qualifying only.
- In the last week, take one mock a day at your shift time, and do no new topics in the final two days.
