Bihar Police Constable Mock Tests, Syllabus & Complete Exam Guide

Bihar Police Constable recruitment is conducted by the Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC), the body that recruits constables for the Bihar Police and its allied armed and special units. It is the gateway to a uniformed career as a Constable, and the recruitment is held whenever vacancies are notified rather than strictly once a year.

The selection runs across two stages. First is an objective, OMR-based written examination of 100 questions for 100 marks in 2 hours, testing Hindi, English, General Studies, General Science, Mathematics and Social Science at matriculation / 10+2 level. There is no negative marking. Candidates who qualify the written exam are called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) — running, high jump, long jump and shot put — and final merit is built from the written score together with the PET performance.

Because the written paper has no negative marking, the strategy is simple: attempt every question. Build broad, revisable foundations across General Studies with a strong focus on Bihar's history, freedom movement and geography — Magadha and Nalanda, the Champaran Satyagraha, the Ganga and Kosi rivers and Bihar's districts — alongside core Indian history, general science, elementary mathematics, reasoning, general awareness and General Hindi grammar in Devanagari.

The written exam is only the first hurdle. The Physical Efficiency Test carries its own marks and often decides the final merit, so physical training — running, high jump, long jump and shot put — must run in parallel with book study.
