Admission to three-year diploma courses in engineering and design at Delhi's polytechnics. Test-1 is for students who have passed Class 10 with Mathematics, Science and English.
The Department of Training & Technical Education, Delhi conducts a Common Entrance Test each year for diploma admissions. Test-1 covers all Class 10-based diploma courses, from civil and computer engineering to fashion and interior design.
The test is held online in an AI-proctored format that candidates can take from home; those without a computer or internet can ask for a test centre. CET 2026 was held on 13–14 June 2026, followed by online counselling.

Test-1 has 90 objective questions for 360 marks in 90 minutes — Mathematics 30, Physics 15, Chemistry 15, Biology 15 and English 15 — set on the CBSE Class 9 and 10 syllabus. Each question carries 4 marks and 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer. The paper is bilingual (English/Hindi).
