About the Kerala Administrative Service (KAS) exam
Recruits KAS Officers (Junior Time Scale) Trainee — Kerala's state civil service — through three streams.
About KAS
The Kerala Administrative Service was created in 2018 to build a state-level civil service between the IAS and the state secretariat services. The first batch was recruited through a 2019–20 notification.
The prelims is a screening test; Mains and the interview decide the final rank.
How these mocks help
Twenty full prelims cover both papers on the official section counts, with topic tests for each paper and section.
Kerala history, renaissance, geography, constitution, science and arithmetic questions carry a one-tap Malayalam (മലയാളം) switch, and the Malayalam section is set in Malayalam script. Generator-built English, reasoning and general-GK items are in English for now.

KAS prelims has two objective papers of 100 marks each, 1 hour 30 minutes each. Paper I is entirely General Studies (100 questions). Paper II has General Studies (50 questions), Malayalam language (30) and English language (20). Each wrong answer loses 1/3 mark. These mocks set both papers back-to-back as one 200-question, 3-hour test, and each subject also has its own topic tests. The Mains (three descriptive papers of 100 marks) and the 50-mark interview are not included. Kerala history, renaissance, geography, constitution, science and arithmetic questions carry a one-tap Malayalam (മലയാളം) switch, and the Malayalam section is set in Malayalam script. Generator-built English, reasoning and general-GK items are in English for now. Computed sections (arithmetic, mental ability, maths) are fresh in every mock. Concept sections — Kerala GK, Malayalam grammar, pedagogy and similar — draw on a curated pool; once a pool is used up it recurs in later mocks, but no question ever repeats inside a single mock.
Duration: 3 hours (two 90-minute papers).
