MP Police Constable Mock Tests, Syllabus & Complete Exam Guide

MP Police Constable recruitment is the process through which the Madhya Pradesh Police fills the rank of Constable — Constable (General Duty) and Constable (Radio / technical) posts — across the districts and wings of the state force. It is conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MP ESB, formerly known as Vyapam), Bhopal, and is one of the largest uniformed recruitments in the state.

Selection has two stages. First is a written objective examination — a single paper of 100 questions for 100 marks in 2 hours at 10+2 level, covering General Knowledge & Reasoning, Intellectual Ability & Mental Aptitude, and Science & Simple Arithmetic. Candidates who qualify are called for a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and, for relevant posts, a Physical Proficiency / measurement test. The model represented here uses no negative marking, though the exact marking scheme should always be confirmed in the official notification.

Because the written paper is a single objective test, breadth matters: build reliable general knowledge with a strong Madhya Pradesh focus — the state's geography, its national parks and tiger reserves such as Kanha and Bandhavgarh, the Narmada and other rivers, the districts, and the major tribes like the Gond, Bhil and Baiga — alongside core Indian geography and static GK. Pair that with steady practice of mental aptitude (series, analogy, coding-decoding, blood relations and direction) and everyday science with simple arithmetic, all at 10+2 level.

With no negative marking in this model, attempt every question — there is nothing to lose by making a considered guess where you cannot be certain. Practise the General Hindi portion in Devanagari (synonyms, antonyms, grammar and idioms), take full-length timed mocks under the two-hour clock to build speed and accuracy, and, just as importantly, train for the Physical Efficiency Test in parallel, since clearing the written exam is only half the selection.
