What is SRMJEEE?
SRMJEEE — the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination — is the university-level entrance test conducted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) for admission to its B.Tech programmes. A single rank list feeds admissions across SRM's campuses at Kattankulathur near Chennai, Ramapuram in Chennai, the NCR campus at Ghaziabad, the Amaravati campus in Andhra Pradesh and the Sonepat campus in Haryana. It is one of the most popular private-university engineering entrances in India because it is taken online from home and is offered in several phases through the year.
The test is a 2 hour 30 minute, 125-question computer-based paper across five parts — Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology, English and Aptitude — set at Class 11 and 12 level. Crucially, there is no negative marking: each correct answer is worth +1 and wrong answers cost nothing, so the exam rewards attempting widely and managing time well rather than cautious guessing. The raw score becomes an all-India SRMJEEE rank that decides your campus and branch through counselling.
